NDNY was commissioned to design the gut-renovation of a brownstone in the Park Slope neighborhood of Brooklyn. The building had largely remained untouched for several decades. Designed for a family of 4, the partitions on the parlor floor were removed to create an open plan living - dining - kitchen setup. The basement and lower floor were designed with 3 bedrooms, 2-bathrooms while the rear yard was upgraded with a new outdoor deck. The scope of work involved both exterior renovation of the brick facades, replacement of skylights and interior renovation of the home including new architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical and plumbing work.
