The project involves the gut renovation of a duplex penthouse apartment unit in midtown Manhattan. The existing apartment was fully gutted and the new design took advantage of the high ceilings and skyline views to open up the living dining kitchen area on the lower level and the more private family area on the upper level. The interiors are defined by a generous use of marble, from the fireplace cladding to the kitchen, bathroom and master bedroom headboard. The new design also reclaimed a significant amount of space that was buried behind walls and furred enclosures. NDNY was part of the design team and was tasked with detailing out the complex design and provide construction administration services. NDNY also provided virtual reality visualization services for the interior design and decorating of the unit.
